Malawi is a small landlocked country in the southern part of Africa. It is known as the warm heart of Africa. Malawi has 28 districts and over eight tribes with several different traditional cultures and dances. The widely spoken language is Chichewa and the official language is English.
Malawi has over 13 million people, but it is a poor country. Its economy relies on agricultural products. Malawians like farming, and we have lots of farmers who grow tea, coffee, sugarcane and other things.
Malawi is a peace loving country. It has beautiful places like Mount Mulanje and Lake Malawi. Lake Malawi is home to a fish called a chambo, a type of tilapia. A Malawian’s best food is nsima (ground maize).
